Editor Gazette: News is very scarce this week.

  • that great question” resolved that the soul of man receives its reward at death,” was ably discussed pro and con last Friday at our literary; was decided in the negative; that settles it, we can all wait patiently wait for” Gabriels Trump.”
  • the signs of the times denote another matrimonial epidemic this spring; even Doctor Newell has the symptoms.
  • so” A Star Cus,” thinks we will shortly need a guardian. Very probable, but we shall be very careful not to have a man(?) appointed that sell 12 sheets of paper for a quire?, and we will also inform the gentleman, although we are non compos mentis, we never yet have made a mistake in our berth in a sleeping car, now Stark you keep still, or I’ll tell on you.
  • Miss Mattie Persian, of Milton township, is quite sick.
  • Miss Heckandon is still in poor health.
  • Our young M.D’s. are kept quite busy; they are building up a lucrative practice and making many warm friends.  Yours Truly, Num Skull
