Editor Gazette — Seeing no account of the fight in Fairmont township last week, I Will send it to you. On the 7th inst.,a dispute arose between J. Clever and the Slay family concerning some stone the Slay’s had quarried on land recently bought by Clever, which ended in blows; in the melee, Clever got struck on the head by a stone and considerably hurt. The Slay’s were arrested for assault with the intent to kill, but Mr. Clever failing to make a case, the defendants were acquitted, costing the plaintiff $23.00 as cost of suit.
—We notice the Plum Grove M.D’s almost every day out Jackrabbit hunting, which speaks well for the health of the neighborhood.
— Dr. I. V. Davis has entirely recovered from his long sickness.
—Stark Spencer says he don’t want to ship any more hogs.
